The Duel with the snake

Dueling round 3

So... Round 3 of the duel has come and now gone for me. Cassandra Crimsonchin was a worthy opponent and I was scared to the end. The hat that she sent to me which I was able to remove the curse prior to putting it on (thank goodness) will be posted soon (I don't have the cord to connect to the computer to download the photos). Thank you very much Cassandra the hat is great I am now a true wizard. Check back tomorrow.

My new sweater

So I have cast on for my pub crawler sweater, YAY. It is slow going but that is ok I am taking it a little at a time. I will put up photos as soon as possible, but we don't have the camera at the moment. Time to get back to it. It won't get done if I don't do it.

Homework part 2

Professor Hagrid was having a terrible morning, and it wasn't even breakfast yet. Someone broke into the Transfiguration classroom the night before, hid a Boggart in the closet, and set loose 73 doxies. How did he know there were 73 doxies? Because each one took a bite out of his belly as he tried to capture it, and Madame Pomfrey had to lick each wound separately. And comment annoyingly about how Professor Trelawney would've had the room cleared out with 2 waves of a wand. It took forever to get out of the infirmary, and by then Professor Hagrid was in a foul mood. Luckily, he knew how to improve it: by finding the culprits and making him, her or them pay. Hagrid had overheard some students giggling in the hallways the other day about Draco Firewalkers's stash of doxy eggs, so he had a good idea of who to interrogate first. Unfortunately for him, but rather fortunately for Draco, the common room password had recently been changed to the Irish, so Hagrid couldn't enter. The Fat Lady looked up from her portrait and laughed at the cursing, frustrated Professor. The old Professor Hagrid would have thrown a hissy fit at being taunted by a mere portrait, and blasted the thing all the way into the 3rd floor girl's bathroom. The new Professor Hagrid went to 17 weeks of Anger Management classes, punched a lot of pillows, and took up woodworking. And started subscribing to the Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes catalogue. Professor Hagrid's first class of the day was Transfiguration with the 3rd year Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws. It took them 2 hours to clean up after the entire carton of Nosebleed Nougats that went off and clung to their robes, schoolbooks, and any exposed flesh. The students all knew that Draco was planning to do something in Transfiguration to get Professor Hagrid, so everyone blamed him for the prank and gave him the cold shoulder for 17 days, until Herminoe Bagnold blew up the Herbology classroom with a misplaced charm and became the new pariah-of-the-hour.

Christmas gifts

Rowena and I have been working on making Christmas gifts for the family, a nice inexpensive way for us to get something nice for loved ones. It has been quite tedious, we have been working on projects we don't really want to do with yarn we don't really like working with all so we can get them things we know they will like/use. I can't wait to finish all the stuff I "have" to make so I can make this sweater I have been eyeing. It is from Son of Stitch and Bitch the "Pub Crawler". It will be the first and probably last sweater I make so I had to pick a good one. I am going to be making it in a wine (main) and silver (secondary) color. I can't wait, Rowena helped me pick out the colors. I wanted yellow and black but Rowena said I can't really pull off the whole "yellow and black" thing, but Rowena thinks no one can pull that off. Since she is the one who has to see me in it most I went with her suggestion. I can't wait till I can cast on...

Well I guess Hogsmead was a total bust for me. I remember heading on out to Hogsmead, we were almost there and then everything went completely black. The next thing I knew I was in a bed in the hospital wing with Madame P. standing over me. I am not sure how long I was in there. I just now remembered that the Hogsmead trip had already happened. I guess I will have to wait till next time. It is ok though, I am all better now and I wasn't planing on doing anything or spending any money this time around. I really wish I knew what happened though. Man bad things appear to happen to me alot, first the pictures now this... At least I am back in time for my Duel. Dueling club

So I have joined the dueling club. I have completed my task and it has been sent by owl. I kind of messed up in my first attempt and here it is...

It is way too small... it doesn't even fit my littlest house elf (3yro) so I had to start over.

The new one is finished and sent out by owl but will not be shown until it makes it to it's destination.

ETA: It has made it to it's destination so here it is...

She has said that she loves it and it fits well so that is good. It was made with some stash Malabrigo so i am sure that is will get lots of use this winter season... of course in Las Vegas I am not sure how much use there is for a winter hat... I guess at night it gets quite cool. This was lots of fun and I can't wait for the next round.

So today was picture day and I got all dressed up and was all clean and read for picture day then this happened...

Somehow it gave me a picture of this Dork... I figured maybe someone jinxed the camera or something so I asked to have my picture taken again with a different one and it just got worse...

I think maybe some Slytherins may have had a hand in this... So much for picture day.

First Day

So it is my first day of term and I have been sorted into Hufflepuff, Huzza. I am greatly looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the new friends here at school and just having lots of fun.
